Pacerpole 3-Section Alloy

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a strong, light, invaluable walking aid. It takes the weight off your knees, supports you uphill and downhill, and the contoured forward sloping grips make using them perfectly natural. Brilliant for trekkers of all ages and after sales service second to none. I walk the Camino trails in Spain and will not leave home without them! I have used this product for a number of years on the Camino Frances (800kms), the Portoguese route from Porto to Santiago, and from Malaga to Merida. This September… Full review

Wilcor Trekking Poles

rated 5 of 5 stars Hiking/trekking poles, shock absorbing. Exceptional hiking/trekking poles.  Aluminum construction Three section, twist to unlock, extend, and lock. VERY good lock. I'm 200+ pounds and the locks have never failed on me.  Infinite length adjustment (you're not limited to pre-made detents) out to almost 4 feet. I use the wrist straps most when pushing up difficult terrain. The straps are also very secure and the lock on those has never failed either. The shock absorbers are also very handy in some… Full review

StickPic

rated 4.5 of 5 stars The Stick Pic is a handy little gadget that turns your camera into the ultimate “selfie” device. Designed for traditional cameras, with a threaded-base for tripods, the Stick Pic is worth those 11 grams (0.4 oz). Let me start by saying I LOVE cottage industry products. I am a huge fan of the idea that a guy named Rod wanted to find a better way to take trail pics and ended up inventing the Stick Pic. Then he improved the idea by making various sizes for various poles. I love that he is still… Full review

Komperdell Carbon Ascent Trekking Poles

rated 5 of 5 stars I've been really impressed with my new trekking poles. They fold down to fit into my rucksac out flight bag and are so light I barely notice I'm carrying them. The  locking mechanism is very quick and easy and would be manageable with gloves on, a bonus in cold weather. The straps and grips are comfortable to use and the tip gross well, leaving me feeling secure on rough ground. My only regret is the fact that, although I'm not a particularly short female at around 5' 4", the minimum length is… Full review

Black Diamond Men's Ultra Mountain FL

rated 5 of 5 stars Folds down very compact, very adjustable, has a tension adjuster that some of the others do not. Carbide tips. I have owned other brands and some were twice as much money. I could not design a better hiking pole. These poles have saved my life many times. Fantastic on boulders, even smooth river rocks. Besides my backpack and boots, these are one of the best investments I have ever made. Thanks, Black Diamond for an awesome product! Full review

Pacerpole 3-Section Alloy

rated 5 of 5 stars Excellent trekking poles that have helped reduce stress on knees and wrists, encouraged proper posture, better breathing and efficient movement. Pacerpoles have become a key component in my everyday hiking gear. I highly recommend these poles for hikers and backpackers. I have been using Pacerpoles almost daily since I purchased them 4 months ago, hiking with and without a backpack and on a variety of terrain. Most hikes are between 3-10 miles long over a combination of packed dirt, rocks and at… Full review

StickPic

rated 5 of 5 stars The StickPic turns your trekking pole into the original "selfie stick." It is a little doohickey that screws onto the bottom of your camera and then slides onto the tip of your trekking pole so that you can hold your camera out away from you to put yourself in the picture. Nobody needs the StickPic, but if you like to take photos when you hike with a "real" camera (not a smartphone), and you use trekking poles already, then you WANT the StickPic. This is a review of the StickPic camera accessory. Full review

Black Diamond Spire

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Literally saved my life, but that's not why they're getting 4.5 stars. *Not the lightest can actually be a "Pro" as well as a "Con," as those extra few ounces translate directly into lateral strength...read on. In my opinion, it's a shame that Black Diamond is no longer producing the Spire. If you're looking for a pole to have in your hand so you look like the rest of the "well dressed sheep" on the trails, this one might not be for you...you're looking for the thinnest, lightest pole you can find. Leki Tour Stick Trigger S

rated 5 of 5 stars I must say, it would never occur to me to spend $200 for a pair of poles...but I will certainly accept them as a contest prize, and will put them to good use. These poles have been described as "the ultimate for 4-season use," but are also advertised as ski poles. I have used them for snowshoeing and micro-spike winter hiking, and they are certainly an upgrade over my basic snowshoe poles. These poles are way more pole than I would ever need, but I have come to really like them...and my husband… Full review
