Vango Trek Standard

rated 4.0 of 5 stars
photo: Vango Trek Standard self-inflating sleeping pad

Pros

  • Self-inflating
  • Gives good insulation
  • Small package

Cons

  • Danger of puncturing it with tools or sharp rocks

Not much to say about the best selling sleeping mat from Vango.

It comes only in red (I think) with its bag and compression straps. It also comes with a repair kit if you accidentally puncture it!

You just unscrew the valve cap and wait for the mattress to decompress. After that you may need to give it 2-3 puffs and screw the cap back in place for a more firm feel.

My advice: When done with the mattress let it decompress once more and when the inflation comes into a halt screw the cap back and store it in your closet. That way the internal foam will retain its self-inflating properties.

Forgot to mention that the standard version is 1.83cm long and the Long version is 1.95 with differences in weight and size. The width is the same (60cm). So pick what best suits you in height.
