Rating: rated 4.5 of 5 stars
Use: every day use to 15 mile day hikes. bad back, I don't carry heavy pack.
Break-in Period: none
Price Paid: $89

I prefer the lighter, more flexible boots - not that many choices. I have 2 pair of the older model Ranger - fits the bill for me - I found replacing the removable midsole with a higher quality after-market version is good. Raises total price, but still a good idea.

The leather may be a little thin , but I think the interior of heavy duty boots would prob. wear out anyway...???

Rating: rated 5 of 5 stars
Materials: leather, Gore-tex
Use: hiking, scrambling
Break-in Period: few days

A very light boot that has great support and gore-tex waterproofing. A nice leather-fabric mix to combine longevity as well as reducing the wright and increasing breathability.

Used on some scrambles with light bag. Good all round comfort. Highly recommended.
