User Review: Vasque Sundowner II

Rating: rated 4 of 5 stars
Materials: Gore-tex/leather
Use: light pack, loose sidehills
Break-in Period: Guesstimated 5 miles
Weight: n/a
Price Paid: $149

On sale from REI.

Initial break-in was a killer! My tib/fib felt like somebody tapped on my leg with a ballpeen hammer for a looooong time. But now that they're broken-in, they are real comfy. Kinda slippery on wet surfaces, but I guess most stuff is. Good laces. Roomy toebox that I like when it comes time to do some downhilling. Lateral support is great for my sometimes-weak ankles. I just hope long-term durability is what everyone told me it should be.
