"If your usual trail running routes are often mistaken for game trails, then the rugged Vasque Women's Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe is for you. Built Sherman tank-like tough, this sturdy shoe is built to handle the roughest of paths. In fact some people use it for carrying light to moderate loads on overnight backpacking trips. Weighing 12 ounces per shoe in a women's size 7, the Vasque Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe is not the lightest but there are certainly heavier shoes in the category. But what you give up in weight you more than make up for in comfort and support. Classified as a motion control shoe, a dual density EVA midsole places a higher density foam on the medial side to reduce pronation. Users also often comment about the Vasque Velocity XCR Trail Running Shoe's excellent underfoot protection.
