"Vasque Volta Gore-Tex hiking boots offer the athletic stance of trail runners, the lace-to-toe closure of approach shoes and the stability of light hikers. Waterproofed split-grain and nubuck leather uppers with air-mesh nylon panels keep boots light and breathable in warm temperatures. Gore-Tex® liners are seam sealed to stop water leakage while allowing moisture vapor to escape. Wicking nylon linings absorb this excess moisture and disperse it for fast drying. Gusseted, padded tongues keep out trail debris and relieve pressure across insteps from lacing. Padded collars add comfort around ankles; heel loops offer easy entry. Dual-density EVA footbeds are anatomically shaped for comfort. EVA midsoles provide cushioning and house thermoplastic urethane (TPU) VST comfort technology. Vasque Spine Technology (VST) in heels incorporates a TPU top plate with a cushioning gel to reduce heel impact forces while retaining stability. The anatomic shape of the TPU top plates follows the natural progression of lateral heel landings, helping you to maintain a neutral stride.
