I debated between this tent and another brand (Sierra D) for some time before choosing my first backpacking tent. For less money, the Walrus gave me factory taped seams in the floor and fly, better ventilation, and more usable space inside. The Starstreme also has a larger vestibule that is pole supported. The SD tents are definitely quicker to set up, but for an extra few minutes I've found that the other features that have been mentioned are more important on a long rainy night out on the trail.
