Sierra Designs Men's Backcountry Bed 600 2-Season

rated 4 of 5 stars Innovative design with no zippers and built-in comforter. Warm below rating for me who usually sleeps cold. Fairly compressible. DriDown works well. Pad stays put in sleeve for good night's sleep. The Backcountry Bed is, as most of you must have heard by now, a new kind of sleep system. It does indeed have the qualities of your bed at home although it is a little harder to get into and out of. I have been using my Backcounty Bed in my yurt at home all winter and have just taken it out into the field… Full review

Marmot Unisex Mavericks 40 Semi Rec

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Simple but great bag. Forthright about the temp rating. Light and packs well for a synthetic. Cost effective. Warmth: Tells the minimum and comfort rating on the bag 25/40. Does well with the rating. Warmth is distributed evenly. Fit and Comfort: The material is very comfortable. It is roomy in the torso. Leaves off the hood to reduce weight.  Entry and Exit: Very easy in and out. Zipper doesn't stick. Moisture: I've never had an issue with moisture. Packability: Packs down to 8 X 10 Loft: Average… Full review

Ozark Trail Sleeping Bag

rated 1 of 5 stars I bought the zero degree bag and nearly froze to death. It cost me a thru hike last year. This is more like a 40 degree bag rating. Day one, night one...the zipper tore and cord in hood broke. It was 4 degrees and I nearly froze. Day 2 ...it was closer to 6 degree and I froze...I had to hike into town, replace the bag. Not worth using as toilet paper. I could have gotten better quality from a teenager's home ec project and lighter weight. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless I wanted… Full review

The North Face Aleutian 50/10

rated 4 of 5 stars Great price. Packs down very small. A very good warm weather bag. Can fit it in a small Kelty compression bag (color listed as Curry). Packs down to smaller than 10" x 5". Full review

Wiggy's Desert

rated 4 of 5 stars I own two Wiggy's bags, a bivy sack, a rain jacket, and six ecotats made by Wiggy's. All are over built and what I would call BET YOUR LIFE GEAR. The temp ratings tend to be very conservative. The #10 YKK zippers are bulky but built to last. I would not hesitate to buy Wiggy's products or give them to loved ones; they are that good. Wiggy's sleeping bags: I have used the Desert bag and the over bag. The temp ratings seemed conservative as the Desert is rated to 40 degrees F and it kept me comfortable… Full review

Ozark Trail 40F Mummy Sleeping Bag

rated 3 of 5 stars I used this bag two nights last weekend and found it was too cold on its own—lowest temp was 51 degrees each of those nights. I agree with almost everything commented by Eric. I prefer a cool sleeping environment. However, I used this bag two nights last weekend and found it was too cold on its own—lowest temp was 51 degrees each of those nights. I was in a large tent (admittedly, a smaller tent would have been better) with one other person. I had to add a fleece sleeping bag for more insulation. Full review

REI Travel Sack +55

rated 3 of 5 stars 50 dollar sleeping bag, decent warmth, good liner bag in my opinion. Warmth: The bag does keep you warm, on a 50-60 degree night with a shorts and t-shirt on it is perfect for me. I'm a cold sleeper, so maybe I'm not the best judge for warmth. Comfort/Enter/Exit: As far as comfort goes, I love the feeling of polyester taffeta, soft smooth nice on the skin. Length is 78, hip width is 53 and shoulder is 60 (all in inches), which happens to fit me perfectly, I'm 6'2" 230 pounds. the hood works well… Full review

Alpine Design 45-degree Micro Lite Mesa Rec Bag

rated 4.5 of 5 stars An inexpensive hybrid design sleeping bag that works great in warm weather. Would be a perfect lightweight option for emergency equipment in a vehicle as well as being a decent bag for summer backpacking. Being a budget backpacker, I realized that one major way I could cut weight off my base load was to find a lighter sleeping bag that would keep me comfortable. I am also a stomach sleeper (one leg bent), so a skinny bag (mummy) wasn't going to cut it for me. In reality, almost anything was going… Full review

Marmot NanoWave 55

rated 4 of 5 stars Backpacking somewhere, where it doesn't cool down at night? Looking to save space, and weight in your backpack? Answered yes to these questions, then this is the bag for you. I used this bag on a 6-night hike through Yosemite. This probably wasn't the best choice in sleeping bags for that hike. The last night of the hike was the only night where the temperatures were above 50º. If you are going to purchase this product make sure you're checking the temperature of your nightly destination to make… Full review
