Deuter DreamLite 500

rated 5 of 5 stars Sweet durable comfortable holds up to its ratings very well if you don't have one prioritize getting your dreamlite I truly love mine For the guy with the cord issue I thought the exact thing even considered sliding barrel lock up to perfecto tieing a knot and cutting the extra off but on one trip someone took my back pack luckily all my gear and sacks were in tent with me man figuring out how to lug my gear back out the trail without my back pack was a lot of trial by error and i discovered the… Full review

Mountain Equipment Men's Glacier 500

rated 3.5 of 5 stars One of Mountain Equipment's all rounder sleeping bags designed to tackle a wide range of conditions. It does what is says on the tin, keeps you warm when it is cold, however it does have a few drawbacks that would make me consider going for something else. Lets start with the basics.  With an extreme temperature rating of -21 degrees Celsius/ -6 degrees F, Comfort rating of 2 degrees Celsius/ 36 degrees F and a "Good nights sleep rating of -8 degrees Celsius/ 18 degrees F. This bag is going to… Full review

Marmot Always Summer

rated 4 of 5 stars Took this camping on a chilly April night in Utah and it stood up well. I was able to slip a small liner inside as well and it got too warm. This bag kept me incredibly warm and was able to fit a liner in quite easily. However the foot box was smaller than I expected. Not horribly so, but just enough to notice. Getting in and out typically wasn't an issue, however the zipper would get stuck every once in a while. Easy enough to adjust. The bag packs incredibly well and puffs up easily after having… Full review

Sea to Summit Traveller TRI

rated 3.5 of 5 stars This is a cost effective and more than adequate light minimal coverage for a quick summer outing in the woods. It is versatile enough for couch surfing relatives over the holidays. It is just wide enough to cover two cozy campers that are not too big in girth on a not chilly summer outing. Originally bought for couch surfing relatives, but I found it useful as a comforter on a fall evening too. That opened the door to other uses. Took it out for a July 6K ft elevation overnight in Sierra Nevadas… Full review

Sierra Designs Forty Winks

rated 4 of 5 stars Good well-rounded synthetic bag. Medium weight, medium packed size, medium warmth, and durable. This was my first sleeping bag I ever bought, purchased in 2001. I have been happy with the bag, and I think it is a good bag in all categories.  It is not a very lightweight bag, nor does it pack down very small, but it's a mid-priced synthetic bag and I think it is everything that it's supposed to be. Overall I've been pleased with it as a general purpose, well-built bag. Since then I almost always… Full review

CRAZO Premium Hooded Envelope Sleeping Bag

rated 4.5 of 5 stars This is a well-built envelope sleeping bag with mummy hood which is good for most three-season camping. The extra long and large size (86.6" x 31.5" ) assures comfort for adults even up to 6'11", and it allows you to use a liner or wear extra clothes to be warmer if it might get colder than the rating. As a retailer of this sleeping bag, I'd tested it several times with my friends before I placed the order. I have to say that I really love this sleeping bag. Honestly, I don’t like the narrowness… Full review

Deuter DreamLite 500

rated 2.5 of 5 stars A very cold sleeping bag, far out of its rating. This bag seemed like the perfect bag for my needs — a spring sleeping bag, highly compressible and lightweight from a reliable tested brand. Unfortunately it fails in the only thing that really matters — warmth, big time. I used it while camping in a tent with a 15 m"m E.V.A. mattress. I'll admit I'm a cold sleeper, but it has to be a night of 20+°c for it to be warm enough!!! And at those temperatures I can use a thermal liner that weighs a… Full review

Kelty Tumbler 40/60

rated 5 of 5 stars This is a super nice product, keeps you warm and dry. Never slept so good in this. Great buy for the price too. Rolls up real easy also. This sleeping bag keeps a person warm, never had any drafts or cold spots. Easy to roll up and roll out. Not hard to get into like some others I have had. A lot of room inside for one person. My overall rating is a great deal for the money. Full review

Ozark Trail 40F Mummy Sleeping Bag

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Truly horrible. Bought this for backpacking because it is lightweight and packs small, but it is a complete waste of $45. Even with clothes, a thin liner and a fleece liner inside it, the bag could not dispel the cold. There was zero insulation properties as far as I could tell. It did not even get down to 40, more like upper 40s at the most and probably low 50s when I used it. I am going to try to return. Full review
