User Review: Wenzel Timber Creek

Wenzel Timber Creek
Above: The current Timber Creek, which may differ slightly from the version reviewed.

Rating: rated 3.5 of 5 stars
Design: Three season tent
Sleeps: 3
Ease of Setup: You need two people...
Weight: 7 lbs.
Price Paid: $35

After a year of use I can say this is an great summer tent that will keep you dry. If you get mild to fairly strong wind it will hold firmly only if you manage to figure out the best tent position against the wind. I tested all sides facing the oncoming wind and the results were:

If the wind slams the sides it will stand strong and if you set the front door against the oncoming wind it will hold strong as well. If you make the mistake of facing the wind with the back window if will most likely tent to collapse on you...Not sure why.

I give it only 3,5 stars because it does not come with the strongest poles in the market and because it will not keep you dry if you set the sides facing the wind and rain...The water will run up the walls, reach the mesh shield and eventually let some drops in...
