A good bag for its intended use: 40 degree evenings. If it's a bit colder outside than that, you might want a baffled design sleeping bag. If the temperature is 30 degrees or less, you will really want more down in a baffled bag unless you have the metabolism of a squirrel. Admittedly, I tend to "sleep cold".

The bag is rated to fit people up to 6'3". I am 6'0" and wouldn't want the length to be any shorter.

Build quality is as good as any other premium brand. The fabric used for the shell requires some extra care, as it is an extremely light ripstop. Expect to see some down migrating out of the shell from time to time. Pull the plumules back into the bag. If you pull them out, most likely more down will try to escape.

If light weight is a prime concern, you'll probably like this bag. If you want a little more flexibility in temperature rating, look for a baffle design bag where you can adjust the down from top to bottom.

The folks at Western Mountaineering are proud of their products and price them accordingly. I think if you shop around, you can find other brands that will fit your needs just as well for less money. Most will probably be somewhat heavier and not have quite the snob appeal and drooling print reviews Western Mountaineering bags have.

In other words, you pays your money and takes your pick.
