I bought this pack in '92 when I started climbing. It has taken me from the local crags of S N.H. to the glaciers on Mt. Baker. The design is simple but complete. Mine is the older model and is showing a little wear, though far from retirement. Its contemporary, the Ice Sac, is everything and more. It's larger, making it functional for overnite. The pack material has been changed to be more durable. And the suspension has also been beefed up. I can't wait till my old pack wears out so I can get a NEW one!
