User Review: Wilderness Press Hiker's Guide to the High Sierra - Yosemite
Source: bought it used
A classic book with a good, but not great, topo map and good descriptions of the trails (if you can find em).
- Comes with map
- Has a LOT of trail descriptions
- Descriptions slightly vague
I wanted to like this book, I really did. It fits in your pocket, it has short and easy trail descriptions along with a handy map. I was just disappointed when I actually used it in Yosemite because some of the trailhead descriptors were just a little vague, which doesn't help if it's your first time there.
That being said, the majority of the book is very useful. The book does a good job giving you insights about he trails and is very handy to use in the out-of-doors. It's a classic but just don't let it be your only book when in Yose.
