My Zamberlans are my primary hiking/backpacking boot. Although I own several other brands/weights these are my "go to" boot whenever I know the trail is going to be rough and or wet.

I bought them many years ago at REI and they just keep going. The lugs on the soles are worn down to rounded little knobs now but I can't give them up. Used with gaiters I've never had a wet foot in these boots. The fit (for me) has been perfect from the get go. I wish, boy do I wish, that REI still sold these boots as I can't seem to find them anywhere.
