I love backpacking, especially off-trail & away from heavily traveled trails, and am always looking for partners with my pace, pack weight, and terrain preferences, especially women. Pack baseweight (no food, water, fuel) 15-17 lbs, prefer 12-16 mile days, with 2,000'-4,000' elev gain but can climb more. I enjoy long day hikes with peak summits up to unexposed class 3. I try to get in the backcountry most weekends.
I have lots of experience and want more. I work out on steep trails. I'm on a search & rescue team in the Sierras. I organize hikes and trips. I like s'mores sometimes. And trout. Not together.
