Thirty years after my boy scouting days, find myself drawn back into back packing as I have two sons that wanted to try it out. With some beautiful portions of the Appalacian Trail, C&O Canal as well as the Shanendoah National Park and Blue Ridge Mountains in my backyard, I am spending many weekends exploring and having the time of my life.
