I am a novice backpacker and have done quite a few overnight trips. My biggest trip was doing the upper half of Shenandoah Nat'l Park section of the AT with my Uncle Jack taking 5 days. One day after I am stable enough I am going to do the AT, every packer wants to do it and I know I will.
