CWF, thanks for posting this.  I enjoyed reading the "early" Kelty ads.

Apparently my 1978 Kelty D4 external frame pack barely fits within the realm of "vintage".   Maybe it's an antique? <grin> :)

Dad <RIP>, you were right, this pack "would last a lifetime".

Warren's site is lots of fun to page through.  I've been sending him bits on and off as I get catalogs scanned.

He accepts, and will even trade for, submissions, so if anyone has a rare catalog, price list, or whatever, please don't hesitate to scan and share.  The gear paper trail is poorly documented, and that is a real shame.  It deserves to be well archived and properly documented.  If I had more catalogs, I'd send them all his way (via high quality scans).  He makes for fun and enlightening conversation, too.
