Thanks guys!

Phil I'm pinging with excitement for Wyoming.  Here is ten days of food. Will break down packaging even further when I get there , waiting for maximum freshness.  About 1.7 lbs per day, so 17lbs total . Light as I'm comfortable with....

Thanks Phil,

Wish you could join the Winds High Route this year, and hopefully I won't miss your navigational skills! I've gone through phases of excitement mixed with some (unusual for me) anxiety, etc...

I've even weenie-ed out a pack weight list to ruminate over. Never thought I'd ever do that. :) But 10 days no resupply with 30,000 feet of vertical gain is new for me.

Nothing weenie about that Pat. I like to say that with skill you can half a** a weekend trip but serious trips require serious planning. When putting together multi week food bags or even a series of resupplies I think a spreadsheet is the way to go.

Planning for my LT attempt last Fall involved two spreadsheets and a 4 page Word doc with mileage outlines peppered with shelter locations, trail notes and as much current info on water supplies as I could find. Compiling all that info can come in handy later and if nothing else, gives you something to do while you wait to leave :)
