Mountain Equipment Xeros

I cannot recommend this sleeping bag. For the record: I sleep warm and can sleep anywhere. I found this bag cool on the two occasions I used it, once in the Forest of Dean and again on the Affric Kintail Trail; Neither time were temperatures below -5° C. The Xeros feels flimsy. IT held onto condensation dampness longer than my son’s Mountain Equipment Glacier 700, which is plainly warmer, better made and more substantial, even though both bags are rated very similarly; Both guarantee a "good… Full review

Mountain Equipment Glacier 700

Much better than Mountain Equipment's similarly-rated Xeros. My son came with me on the Affric trail in Scotland. He uses the Glacier 700 and I had the Xeros. We both sleep warm, but I was cool and he was not at temperatures of -5 degrees. Both bags are rated similarly. Both guarantee a good nights sleep down to around -14 degrees. We are both experienced campers using good Thermarest mats and we know how to use sleeping bags. It is my view that, in order to achieve the lighter weight with the Xeros,… Full review

Feathered Friends Swift

Back in 1991, I ordered a "customized" model of the Swift sleeping bag for my very tall son. I ordered it to fit a man who was seven feet tall and 250lbs. He was 16yo., 6ft. 3in., and still growing. My son still uses the sleeping bag for snow camping and backpacking. He has never said anything negative about the sleeping bag. We have spent many nights where the temperatures were a few degrees above freezing, plus we were in a tent. I am happy I was able to get a "first class" sleeping bag for my… Full review

Hyke & Byke Antero 0

Their bag came with huge voids and they refused to replace it because I didn't have it registered. Brand new... never used. Lame! I bought this in October. And with the insane winter we have had here in Utah, by the time I got it, temperatures were well below the 0 degrees the bag was rated for (temps got as low as -19!). So I could not use it or test it out. It looked great... was excited to find something with the double functionality. So I stuck it on the shelf. Well fast forward to January. Full review

Patagonia Fitz Roy 30°

The Fitz Roy is a well-made, roomy, three-season down sleeping bag. Vertical baffles and a center zipper set this apart from many comparable bags. I particularly appreciated the quiet fabric, well-shaped hood and foot box, and dual baffles flanking that center zipper. True ultralighters may find this too bulky and heavy (short weighs 28 oz., regular 29 oz., long 30 oz.), but this is three-season bag should serve backpackers and car campers well. INTRODUCTION Patagonia is a relatively new participant… Full review

Zenbivy Light Bed 25° Bundle

Everything you need for a stellar night's sleep in the backcountry! The Zenbivy Light Bed 25˚ Bundle provides a hybrid sleeping bag—a capacious quilt and hooded sheet that integrate with an air mattress—that provides various options for users to regulate mobility and temperature regulation. Great for side sleepers, those who move about while sleeping, or anyone seeking a cozy night's sleep without the confinement of a mummy bag.   Zenbivy Light Bed 25˚ (mattress, sheet, and quilt shown) On… Full review

Sea to Summit Ascent 25

As a long-time camper and backpacker, I have used quite a few sleeping bags over the years, some of which I found less than ideal in comfort and performance. I am now primarily a canoe camper, who also sometimes camps in campgrounds in a pop-up trailer, and I think I have finally found the ideal sleeping bag! This Ascent 25 Sea to Summit bag is the most comfortable bag I have ever used; an Ultra-Dry Down bag, it packs compactly, is lightweight, has various ventilation options, and I have found it… Full review

Kelty Cosmic DriDown 20

The Kelty Cosmic 20 is one of the most affordable sleeping bags you can find that's filled with down insulation. Although it's not exceptional in any particular aspect, it provides decent comfort and warmth in a package that is small and light enough for some 3-season backpacking. Unfortunately, its 550-fill power down doesn't offer impressive loft or substantial benefits compared to synthetic insulation. Sliding into a fluffy sleeping bag after a long day of hiking is one of the most satisfying… Full review

Marmot Angel Fire

Solid and comfortable sleeping bag. Durable and also very comfortable inside. A great choice for those looking for a soft, comfortable sleeping bag. The extra little pockets inside the sleeping bag also ensure that your belongings do not get frozen or wet. If you are looking for a great and warm sleeping bag for women the Marmot Angel Fire is a very good option. This sleeping bag is ideal for trips where you need or want a little bit of extra comfort and cosiness. At 1.3kg, it is not the lightest… Full review
