Hurtta Outback Dreamer ECO Dog Sleeping Bag
When camping with dogs, it is important that we keep them safe and comfortable. When sleeping in a tent, hut, or camper, the use of a doggie-specific sleeping bag can enable your canine companion to sleep soundly through the night, making for a more relaxing outing for everyone. The Hurtta Outback Dreamer ECO is a circular sleeping bag for dogs, with an opening that allows your dog to curl up inside the warm and insulated cocoon of the bag. I have used this bag with my pup since spring of 2023,… Full review
Hurtta Monsoon Coat ECO
We have quite an assortment of dog gear, since our dogs are canoeists, campers, hikers, snowshoers, skijorers, kick sledders, and bikejorers…in addition to being just all-around traveling and family dogs who also do obedience, agility, and FastCATS. But until now, our gear stable has not included a dog rain jacket! The historical rain and flooding of this summer has provided the perfect opportunity to determine possible uses for such a piece of dog outdoor apparel. I think perhaps I stereotyped… Full review
Hurtta Life Savior ECO Dog Life Jacket
Yes, a life jacket for dogs! I have been canoeing with dogs for a long time, but it was not until 2010 that I first obtained a doggie life jacket. My lab mutt hated swimming, but loved canoeing, so I thought a PFD ( puppy flotation device ) would be a wise investment. I have used a number of different brand life jackets, and recently was provided with a Hurtta Life Savior ECO jacket for my year old pup Kanootti as a participant in the Hurtta Summer Explorer Program. This life jacket is awesome,… Full review
K9 Sport Sack Plus 2
Robust, well-constructed backpack for those of us who want to include our furry friends in our outdoor activities. Like many of us I’d like to include my dog when I hike, however she is limited with the amount she can do, both because of her size and she is starting to get older. The K9 Sport Sack Plus 2 lets you bring your furry friend along for the experience and also carry a few essentials such as water and snacks with a detachable pouch. Now don’t get me wrong, carrying Fido plus said… Full review
Ruffwear Overcoat Fuse Harness Jacket
It's a solid mid-weight coat. It shows durability and good water resistance. I have a Golden Retriever/Irish Setter mix. He is very tall and very long, while having a pretty deep chest. Finding things to fit him isn't always easy. I have a Ruffwear backpack for him, so I have experience with Ruffwear products. In fact, when I opened the new jacket, he got SO excited, was patient with my doing the try-one, then spent several minutes nosing and smelling it because he figured out the coat meant adventure! Garmin Alpha 100
When used with the TT15 or T5 dog tracking collars this is a great tool for those off-leash moments when hunting or just enjoying recreation with your dog. The Alpha 100 receiver can also function as a stand alone GPS with mapping. The Alpha 100 with the TT15 tracking collar allows you to track up to 20 dogs within a 9-mile range. It displays the track of each dog in a different color and lets you know when the dog has stopped and when the dog is barking. It has a training mode that can deliver… Full review
MoHapDog Small Number Two Bag
Whenever there is limited trash access, it is nice to have the Number Two Bag to carry full dog waste bags. Dog ownerships is not about smelling the bag. The main compartment, that does the smelly work, is made from high performance coated 420D coated nylon layers and a PU Zipper to contain offensive smells. It has a built-in pad, optional belt or built-in belt clip for comfortable transporting. It has a convenient pocket for empty bags with an on-the-go feed spot. Lastly, it has a separate pocket… Full review
Kurgo Journey Air Harness
The Kurgo Journey Air harness is a lightweight (8 oz/ 226 gm) dog harness designed for outdoor dogs who like to hike and snowshoe, romping through woods and streams. According to Kurgo, the Air Journey is an upgrade from their Journey harness; this newer version has more padding, and is made lighter by the use of aluminum hardware. We have been testing this harness on Edgar, our 55-pound lab mutt—who is an active, tough, serpentine hiking, pucker-brush plowing, often hard pulling adventure dog—since… Full review
Kurgo Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Dog Car Harness
The Kurgo Enhanced Strength Tru-Fit Dog Car Harness is a great option for both dog-walking and safe travel in vehicles because it has been tested and designed for car use and has been crash tested. It’s easy to adjust the size with durable webbing and steel hardware. For car travel, the harness comes with a separate piece of webbing on a carabiner to attach to a seatbelt. The harness also gets high marks for durability. Meet Ruby, who graciously did all the work testing Kurgo’s Enhanced Strength… Full review
