Cumulus Incredilite Endurance

Shipping back to Poland is not a problem if you buy the right size. This is a fantastic jacket for those that bought it and got the right size as well as used it for the intended purpose for which it was designed. If you didn't get the right size then you can usually resell it for a tiny loss. Plus this is a very niche jacket company so if you're buying it just to walk the dog or go to the shops that is not the purpose of this jacket. It is for climbing, mountaineering, ice climbing, etc. As far… Full review

Cumulus Incredilite Endurance

Do not buy products from Cumulus Equipment if you live in the United States. Their products cannot be returned due to the excessive pricing of returns to Poland. The overall fit of the jacket is very tight under the arms and in the waist. I am 5'6" and 160 lbs and the medium was too small. Was not able to return or exchange for a different size due to the cost of shipping via DHL, UPS or Fedex—over $200. As much as I was looking forward to supporting this independent company, and as good as their… Full review

Marmot Guides Down Hoody

Relatively lightweight but fragile garment for static use in camp. Cut is quite small and skinny, so warmth is still to be determined. It's OK, but it is called a "Down Hoody" not a parka and as a "Hoody" it is as described. I have to say tho that the Marmot size guide is as unreliable as Macpac's and it fits more like a Large/Extra Large. I am an XL Tall in US Army sizes and while this is labled an XXL it fits more like an army medium to large. There is very little room for layering in winter… Full review

Sierra Designs Whitney Down Hoodie

The Sierra Designs Whitney Hoodie is a fairly lightweight but warm layer. The Whitney has a semi-athletic fit that allows for some layering and mildly affected freedom of movement in the shoulders for me. Filled with quality 800 fill power DriDown, the Whitney has a pretty nice set of features, particularly for its price point ($159 retail). It's a great outer layer for fall/early winter and hiking breaks in colder weather, or as a mid-layer under a shell in cold weather. A versatile, quality down… Full review

Gerry Sweater Down Jacket

For the price, it’s a super jacket—and irrespective of the price, it’s a super jacket! Well what a super jacket this turned out to be. The missus brought me this, unrequested, from Costco and while I liked its compact and  smart design, when I found out its cheap price I doubted its quality. Now after several years use, it’s a favourite jacket.  While I wouldn’t use it for dedicated hiking, it’s great for shortish walks, especially when you want to transition to a more social environment… Full review

EMS Feather Pack Jacket

I got the EMS Feather when my cousin sent me a link he got in his email. The non-hooded version was on sale for $100 so I got one. Incredibly warm and we are having an abnormally cold winter in Northern California, so I am happy I got it. Only thing I wish was an option was tall sizes. I’m lanky and 6'3" and the large is about 2" too short on me. Other than that, super warm. Wore in light rain for about 45 minutes walking my dog and never got cold once. The second I took it off I was instantly… Full review

Cumulus Incredilite Endurance

Excellent warm, light down jacket. Great fit, features, warmth. Warmer than similar weight Patagonia, Arc'teryx. The sleeves have a velcro flap so that one can adjust the tension there, but I think I'd prefer just a normal elastic.  I could live without the fact that the main zipper is a dual zip, meaning that when zipped up one can unzip the bottom part of the jacket. Would rather have just a normal zipper. Full review

Rab Microlight Alpine Down Jacket

This is a lightweight jacket, not too warm. Rab Women's Microlight Alpine This is good looking jacket with slim fit. It is not bulky and has a great cut. There are two front pockets and one top pocket, but there are no other inner pockets. The sleeves do not have any tighteners. There is a good variety of colors available in this jacket. I have worn this in urban settings and it is warm enough. However it is not great in a rainy climate, but even after a walk in the rain it does dry up fast enough. Full review

Rab Zero G Jacket

I have purchased the Rab Zero G Jacket and I believe it is superior to other coats. The Rab coat has a higher down filling rating and the fabric is soft to the skin.  Compared to the Mountain Hardwear Ghost Whisperer the Zero G has more fluffiness. Both coats are rare because the way the sleeves were made differ than most coats. These two previously mentioned coats have angel wing sewing at an angle connecting to the torso part of the sleeves rather than sewn straight at an 180-degree like most… Full review
