Ledlenser SEO5

rated 4.5 of 5 stars For the pice a superb head torch with enough light to race with, but not enough to illuminate the entire mountain (a blessing in my view). This is a simple well powered head torch that does what you need for a long night race. It has a 3 x AAA setup so you can use both rechargeable and single use batteries. They sit in the back of the light so no need for a separate pack.  Light is clear and focusable. You can dial up and down or choose the quick half power settings. Personally I use half power… Full review

Princeton Tec Vizz

rated 1 of 5 stars Liked it initially, but chews through batteries and died after 12 months. Ptec wouldn't cover it. I found one of the outer white LEDs didn't always work and the battery life is terrible. It took me a while to work out, but when I turned the lamp off the main LED was still on, only very dull, but you could not turn it off. Then after 12 months it stopped working altogether and despite a "lifetime warranty" it was not covered. I would not buy Princeton Tec ever again. Full review

Ozark Trail LED Rechargeable Lantern

rated 0.5 of 5 stars Used unit 3-4 times camping. Bright adjustable light. Unfortunately, the unit will not recharge. Would not recommend the unit for this reason. Full review

Ozark Trail LED Rechargeable Lantern

rated 0.5 of 5 stars I've bought more Ozark products and they're cheaply made also. This lantern lasted five charges, now won't hold a charge.  Wasted money on an Ozark tent, poles bent first time using it.  Ozark products are cheap garbage. Spend a little more and go Coleman. Full review

Black Diamond Spot

rated 4 of 5 stars Good functional light with some useful extra functionality—strobe light, red light, dimming function. Very useful headlamp. Switching functions is a bit of a hassle while placed on your head, but what do you expect from something so small. Batteries last long enough. Very bright. Full review

UCO X-120R

rated 1.5 of 5 stars This headlamp has no reason to be on the market. It delivers very little, the design has no sense, and it's just not powerful enough. I can't really understand why should anyone choose this headlamp over the other. I want a headlamp that is light, sturdy, comfortable with long battery life. This headlamp is uncomfortable. The unit keeps slipping down from its position. The output is weak. The control over the light beam is not enough. It's not focused enough for long distance or dispersed enough… Full review

Princeton Tec Apex

rated 1.5 of 5 stars Unreliable quality. It's bright and lasts long enough but it seems to break very easily under normal caving or camping conditions. Great return policy, but it gets old constantly returning a product that's supposed to be reliable. I've returned the product twice and both times Princeton Tec gave me a new one with no questions asked. My second replacement has broken now and I suspect Princeton Tec will give me a new one with no questions asked this time as well, I'm just not sure it's worth the headache. Full review

Coast FL75R

rated 4 of 5 stars I used the Coast FL75R on my thru hike of the Continental Divide Trail last year. It's an extremely bright headlamp and its wide to narrow beam focusing sets it apart. It’s not perfect but it’s pretty damn good... Modes The FL75R has two buttons, the left button as seen in this picture actuates the main lamp and the right button turns on the red light. One click of the left button activates High Beam (530 lumens), another click switches to Medium (Unlisted) and one more for Low (65 lumens) then… Full review

Black Diamond Spot

rated 5 of 5 stars Great value, extremely bright, and adjustable brightness. Black Diamond claims you can see 80m with this light. I haven't measured but I can attest to being able to see at least 5x the distance compared to my old cheap, no-name headlamp. There are multiple setting for the lights. The close range low power light has a wider beam and allows you to see your immediate surroundings quite well. The full power lamp has a much more focused beam, great for distance. Batteries lasted me for a few overnights. Full review
