Black Diamond HeavyWeight ScreenTap Fleece Gloves

rated 3 of 5 stars These form fitted gloves are comfortable and pair well with a shell. The screen tap finger and thumb work consistently well as long as they are dry. They are lightweight. I just wish that they were warmer.   Fit and comfort: The overall fit of the glove is nice. They are form fitted. In other words, the stitching contours the natural form of the hand to a certain extent. They are comfortable in going out in cool weather. Adjustability: There is no need for adjusting since the gloves are fitted. Full review

The North Face Men's Denali Etip Glove

rated 5 of 5 stars Warm, lightweight, wind and water-resistant gloves. The e-tips work every time, and for me at least they’re warm at temps much lower than most reviewers report. i bought my TNF Denali Etip gloves this past winter for use in warmer winter temps, and they worked great while hiking and snowshoeing in those temps maybe 5 degrees either side of 32°F that seem to be so hard to keep hands warm in.  What I found out this winter, however, is that the Denali Etips keep my hands nice and warm snowshoeing… Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Backstop Sensor Gloves

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Updated version adds sensor and a bit more thickness. Used an earlier version for many years and liked them a lot.  The glove still fills the bill: Nice and lightweight; snug fit. Windstopper still on the back of the hand is the key feature. This update adds sensor fingertips and slightly thicker fleece. Nice in cold windy conditions. The earlier version had a bit more silicone on palm-side and under fingers, which aided grip. Will see how well it holds up over time overall. Full review

Outdoor Research Men's PL 400 Sensor Gloves

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Extra warm liner gloves that work great alone or under a shell. As a big fan of liner gloves for the shoulder seasons I've worn a handful (pun intended) of brands. The warmth was what it was. Enough to take a bit of the chill off but usually more functional under gloves or mitts. But the OR PL 400's allow me to get much farther down in to the temps while still providing the type of dexterity that I like when using poles or doing camp chores. Easily the warmest liners I've ever tried. The trick is… Full review

Ibex Knitty Gritty Fingerless Glove

rated 4 of 5 stars Great merino gloves. I bought a pair of these gloves about two years ago. Now they have some holes and the wool is not in great shape, but I believe I have used them every day for about 5 months of each year. Also the grippers on the palm help you to grab things with more grip than a classic wool glove. Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Lost Coast Fingerless Mitts

rated 3 of 5 stars I bought these to wear over thin liner gloves. I had the same type of mitten, but a cheaper version, in size medium which was a tight fit, so I ordered a large. Wore them on two hikes. They fit like mediums, but these are very warm unlike the ones they replaced and the pinky kept on coming out while using hiking poles. Used them in temps around 10 degrees, windy and the last hike had wind gusts up to about 30 mph. Full review

Broner Fleece Flip Top Mitten

rated 3.5 of 5 stars An emergency pick-up turns out to be useful. These are light Polartec fleece fingerless gloves that convert into mittens—a piece of fleece folds over to cover your fingers. The mitten part sits out of the way via a small piece of hook/loop on the back. I find myself using these more than I expected, love the versatility. When you're heading to a cold weather football game and forgot gloves....you buy what you can. I found these at a college campus outdoors store in Evanston.   What do these offer… Full review

Columbia Trail Summit Running Glove

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Great running gloves. Or really good liner gloves, your call. Caveat: I am a member of the Columbia Sportswear Testing Program, however I have yet to test anything for them and I bought these long before I had this affiliation.  This is one of those odd situations where a niche product is exactly what I was looking for. Last spring I started running outside again and needed some super light, breathable gloves to wear as I run because my body heats up everywhere when I run except my hands. Weird… Full review

The North Face Women's Denali Thermal Mitt

rated 4 of 5 stars These mitts make a nice liner to a waterproof shell. They're also quick, and easy for an all-purpose "on the go" hand cover. I've used the North Face Denali gloves as liners for a few years inside of a Gore-tex shell. They've always performed fairly well. For the price point they are good. I thought I'd try using the mitt instead of the glove to see if it increased warmth. It does.  Fit and comfort: These mitts are a very comfortable faux type fur fleece. It's very comfortable. It tends to mat… Full review
