CamelBak Rogue

Nice, small hydration pack, but cheaper than the old one. I've used an older version of the Rogue for close to 10 years, so it has held up well. This new version has some "short-cuts", or silly weight saving measures that effect the quality and usability of this pack. The old version had a nice velcro strap to open to easily remove the bladder; the new version has only a piece of elastic with little room to force a full bladder back into its sleeve. This new version has a very small little "pocket-opening"… Full review

Gregory Citro 24 H20

This backpack is great for a day hike, even if the heat is high. The backpack is very lightweight and stylish. It is very functional and has many pockets. I came into it thinking it was a small backpacking backpack and I was mistaken. It is just a very large daypack, although I have stretched it into an overnight bag.  The frame feels amazing and puts the weight on your hips. It has tons of nice features that you can tell someone put a lot of time thinking about. Overall this backpack is what I… Full review

Gregory Citro 24 H20

There are a lot of choices for daypacks and many features and specs to consider. I tend to like my packs with the ability to provide separation of gear based on my style of hiking. The Gregory Pack lines are in my opinion the best at balancing compartments with lighter weight construction making them my go-to. The Citro 24 H20 didn't disappoint. This is my third Gregory pack and it looks like another winner. I mainly focus on mountain day hiking and multiday backpacking. I picked up the Citro 24… Full review

Geigerrig Rig 500

Small, portable, capacity, maybe the air and water hoses are a bit "too cumbersome". Notice: Too small for day hikes, too big carry along a full mult-iday backpack (~45 Liters or more) That plastic taste (and at the beginning, even odor) that comes with the water out of the hose. I have washed the bag, but most probably I will have to use food grade detergent to clean it once and for all. The manufacturer recommends to wash it thoroughly and to store for an entire night water with a whole lemon… Full review

UltrAspire Momentum Race Vest

Fit: Sizing is usually true to size. UltrAspire's website offers a fitting guide for those who are unfamiliar with their products.  Comfort: No issues with chafing from the pack even when loaded to full capacity. Have used this pack for up to 11 continuous hours with no chafing or discomfort. Would always recommend a Body Glide type product if doing multi-hour or full day outings where you would be wearing a vest.  Capacity: Fluid capacity without a bladder is what makes this a very good vest… Full review

CamelBak Rim Runner

I purchased this pack for day hikes and I wanted a hydration pouch because if I carry a bottle in my pack, I don't drink enough. I am too lazy to get it out of the pocket it is in and drink. I like its size for a day outing, enough space for a rain jacket and more. The straps make it easy to tailor it to the size you want. The quality is good. Bottom line is I really like this pack. I am a woman, 5'7", and this pack fits me fine, so I would call this pack unisex. I find it comfortable. The straps… Full review

Geigerrig Tactical 1600

This amazing hydration pack has an almost indestructible hydration engine that is easy to clean and room to bring everything you need for any daylong adventure. Disclaimer: I was provided with this pack by Geigerrig to trial and review. I have had a Geigerrig Rig 1600 (their non-tactical pack of the same capacity) that I purchased as a consumer two years ago, and throughout this review I will make comparisons between the two. (Left: Rig 1600 Tactical, Right: Rig 1600)THE SHORT REVIEW I LOVE THIS… Full review

CamelBak Scout

Although marketed as a child's hiking pack, the Scout can be used by adults as well. It's lightweight and has enough space for a small amount of gear and snacks, and comes with a 1.5 litre water reservoir. Offering minimal shift, I have used this pack as an introductory running pack. I would recommend the Scout to anyone interested in getting into endurance running, particularly if they are on a budget. As a 5 foot tall adult beginning to take running more seriously, I was thrilled to find this… Full review
