Kelly Kettle

The first Kelly Kettles were developed in the 1890s by Patrick Kelly, an Irish farmer and fisherman. First made in tin, then copper, the kettles became popular with fishermen in the west of Ireland for quickly boiling water for hot drinks on wet and windy days.

The company remained a family hobby until the 1970s when more fisherman came to Ireland and requested the kettle as gear. Production of the kettles was modernized and increased, and a second size aluminum kettle and aluminum cook sets were added. In the 2000s, the company added stainless steel kettles to its offerings.

Today, brothers Seamus and Patrick Kelly lead the company as its fourth generation.
