Kelty Silver Streak 25

I have been pleased with most Kelty equipment I have owned but this sleeping bag is an exception. Kelty uses a material in the liner it calls silver-silk, which resembles a mylar emergency blanket, and that Kelty claims is breathable and reflects body heat. My expirience is that it is neither breathable nor seems to reflect body heat. In addition, after two washings, this reflective material has all but lost its reflectiveness. I know that temperature ratings are not 100% accurate, but I got cold at 42 degrees F. one night. Thankfully, Kelty has spared us all and has discontinued this model for 1998.
