Montrail Men's Wasatch II

rated 4.5 of 5 stars

The Men's Wasatch II has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best trail running shoes for 2024.

A very firm sole shoe that works great for the technical runner. It provided great sole support so that precise foot plant placement.

Pros

  • Robust underfoot roct protection
  • Long upper lacing to customize lacing options

Cons

  • Somewhat heavy
  • Sizing runs narrow and a full half size small

Great shoe if you can still find them. Style doesn't fit w/ today's minimists concepts. Provides ultradistant support that minimist shoes don't provide today.

For ultrarunners: If you have very strong feet and ankles, this is NOT the shoe for you. If you need to protect your feet in rocky terrain, this shoe will work for you.
