Mountain Equipment Eclipse Inferno Jacket
Light, warm, highly breathable, good fit—a good piece of gear!
Pros
- Warm and breathable
- Nice fit
Cons
- Weird assymmetrical zipper on the right side of the torso
This jacket is, for me, a revolution in fleece technology. The small fleece panels makes the jacket breathe extremely well, and keeps you warm at the same time. The fit is a little long, and the high collar fits tight, so that no warmth is lost.
The jacket has a weird feature though; the front full zip is not centered, but slightly to the right side of the torso. That means that it looks nice and eccentric when closed, but a little awkward when not zipped, as the one side is larger than the other.
But, all in all: A perfect layer under a shell jacket, or a light cool outer layer in warm, dry environments.
