Victorinox Swiss Army Swiss Champ

A great EDC. It's not a multitool. A great little thing. Beware! It's not a multitool, it's an EDC! This means it's not made for work, so don't expect it to help you assemble furniture, fix your dishwasher, or build a garden shed, it's designed to help you manage everyday tasks, solve small random complications, and do these easy jobs comfortably. Wonderful product, well-made. Worked reliably for many years. Full review

Victorinox Swiss Army Pioneer Alox

Nail files are for pansies. Solid piece of kit that can do a bit of scraping or slicing or prying or torquing. It's a Swiss Army Knife after all. I own the Silver Alox version of this Pioneer. I've had it for years and can't even remember why I have it, but I never like to go out without it. It's well-sized for the hand. Turning heavy flatheads, scraping at surfaces, sometimes punching holes, definitely to slice up food, lift caps, and even opening a few cans, rarely but still. It's just neat to… Full review

Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD

Several handy, frequently needed little tools on one small unobtrusive "knife." I've had mine ~25 years; the Victorinox symbol just fell off the body a month or two ago, but all the tools still work. Lost the toothpick, but found I really missed it, so I was able to order replacements! Airport security has tried to confiscate this tiny tool from me several times when I forgot to remove it from my key ring, but I've managed to hang onto it.   Full review

Victorinox Swiss Army Classic SD

The best tools are the available ones. I've carried this tiny set of tools on my key ring for perhaps 20 years. It weighs nothing, arouses no anxiety in the office, and causes the Police no concern—although it's not legal to carry on a flight in the UK. Made of stainless steel with plastic scales (or alloy, for a few pounds extra), the classic is 58mm in length and features a pen blade, file, flat head screwdriver, scissors, toothpick and tweezers, plus a loop to attach to a keyring. None of the… Full review

Leatherman Skeletool

A minimal approach to a multi-tool after years with the now-discontinued Leatherman Wave. I like that it’s lighter and less expensive. Definitely worth getting a case and extra driver bits. I wish it had one non-serrated blade. Very solid build quality. Leatherman’s Skeletool is a great option for people who wonder why they don’t use all the fold-out attachments on a multi-tool or Swiss Army knife. As with any simplified tool, there are certain options that people might miss; if so, look at… Full review

Victorinox Swiss Army Swiss Champ

Nice blades and has everything, but too heavy and cumbersome. I've had one of these for over 30 years. Went for the "ultimate" pocket knife.  While it does have everything, most tools just really aren't necessary and make the knife overly thick and heavy. It is nice, but it never ends up going on trips with me. The standard Victorinox Swiss Army Knife has everything one would usually need and is lighter, more compact, and 1/4 the price. Full review

Victorinox Swiss Army Swiss Champ

This multi-tool is in my EDC bag and goes with me everywhere. No matter what activity you are doing outdoors this little guy can assist you with all your tasks at hand. I give this only 4.5 stars as the 5-star version is the Victorinox SwissChamp XLT 4inch ~priced $250.   left to right      Sharpening rod, Leather Sheath, Swiss Champ   The Victorinox Swiss Army Swiss-Champ multi-tool is the go-to EDC companion. I have had both the USA version and the Switzerland model (merely larger in size)… Full review

Banner & Oak Firebiner

Love this product. I love that it clips right to my bag or belt loop. Love this product. I love that is clips right to my bag or belt loop and is good for multiple things as it is a 5-1 multi-tool. It is lightweight and easy to use. I did remove one star because the way to replace the flint stick is difficult. The screw is tiny and the spring will send it flying into the great unknown. Lucky, I checked it out in my kitchen and was able to locate the screw about 5 minutes after it flew through the… Full review
