Quechua Forclaz 100 Convertible Walking Trousers

rated 5 of 5 stars Ultralight, breathable, quick drying, 'Technical' walking trousers with plenty of pockets and the convenience of zip-off legs. Previously known as "Trek 100 Men's Mountain Trekking zip-off Trousers". I have been using zip-off leg trousers for my holidays, hiking, and camping for several years now and love the convenience of them. My last pair was a pair of North Face zip-offs with cargo pockets. However, I am now a fully-fledged ultralight hiking/camping gear enthusiast so when it came to reducing… Full review

Dickies Tough Max Flex Duck Pants

rated 4 of 5 stars A tough dual purpose pant for under $30. Tough yet flexible, wear for work or play. I'm always on the lookout for dual purpose clothing, something you can use for work or play. Dickies, long known for great workwear, have really come up with some great new fabrics that work really well for hiking and backpacking. I received a pair of Dickies FLEX Regular Fit Straight Leg Tough Max Duck 5-Pocket Pants in the spring and started taking them on hiking days while the temperatures were still fairly… Full review

Kuhl Rydr Pant

rated 0.5 of 5 stars I’ve had Kuhl Rydr jeans before. I liked them. Now I have bought two more pairs last month and have been very disappointed. The material is fading in a strange pattern on both pairs, the fabric is stiff and difficult to work with in order to make them look nice such as ironing. And this general theme seems to be impacting a lot of customers who made recent purchases. I do not know if it is because they moved their manufacturing to China, or if it is because they changed materials. The outcome… Full review

REI Men's Vaporush Windstopper Pants

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Comfortable soft-shell hiking pants that do what they say—keep wind and even light rain and most snow off your legs and keep warm in cooler temps while also allowing venting in warmer (but not hot) weather. Durable, comfortable, and can even pass for decent pants in town stops. Features REI documents the following features, and I have provided my comments on each alongside, with more explanation in the appropriate section. Fully windproof and highly breathable, GORE WINDSTOPPER fabric is water… Full review

Patagonia Men's RPS Rock Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars I really like these pants. They are durable and comfortable, and they aren’t restrictive when you’re trying to move around over rocks or downed trees or whatever other obstacles you might encounter in the wilderness. They’re pricey, but I think they’re worth the investment. Fit & Comfort: These pants have a pretty standard fit—not very tight and not especially relaxed. Definitely not baggy. The pants have some stretch to them, which, combined with the not-too-tight fit, make them flexible… Full review

Fjallraven Men's Keb Gaiter Trousers

rated 4 of 5 stars Zip-off hiking pants that work well in a variety of conditions, both as full-length pants and as shorts. Lots of features and able to withstand a good deal of scuffs and scrapes thanks to its strong materials. The Long version is particularly great for this 6'2" hiker. Testing Conditions:I tested the Keb Gaitor Trousers (Long) during the winter, spring, and summer months (February-June) in a wide range of temperatures and conditions due to their use as both pants and shorts. The pants/shorts have… Full review

Opedix KNEE-Tec 2.0 Full Length Tights

rated 5 of 5 stars I've been using Opedix products for three months now and find they provide great stability, support, and pain reduction over the day. They are also very comfortable and the low waistband means I can easily wear them under pants and shorts. I have suffered with sacroiliac joint and hip problems for 15 years. I've tried many sacroiliac and hip belts/supports, most of which were uncomfortable, unhelpful and/or painful. Opedix is the product I have been looking for. I use Opedix Core-Tec Shorts. Cheers,… Full review

Outdoor Research Men's Ferrosi Pants

rated 5 of 5 stars Great quality as always. Very comfortable pants. Converted to shorts they look cool even for everyday use. No complaints. I have used this gear for about two months already in multiple 2-3 day hiking trips in woods. These pants are very comfortable and easy to convert to shorts. I bought it new on sale so the price for me looks lower than quality. overall quality shorts. To be honest I expected a little narrow fit, but this works great as well. Thanks, Outdoor Research for quality product. Full review
