Raichle Teton

rated 4.0 of 5 stars

Raichle is no longer in business, and the Teton has been discontinued. If you're looking for something new, check out the best backpacking boots for 2024.

Good solid boot. The break-in period hurt my feet for about 2 weeks, but then the boot fit perfectly. I then wore it on several easy day hikes to get it ready for a 4 day Grand Canyon trip. despite the ice and snow, the boot stayed dry and I got no blisters. it was a comfort to wear.

my only complaint is that the ice walker crampons that i bought were too shallow to effectively grip the ice since the boot's in-step on the tread was too deep.
