Sierra Designs Chockstone Jacket

rated 5 of 5 stars
photo: Sierra Designs Chockstone Jacket synthetic insulated jacket

I picked up this jacket on the recommendation of a local gear rep. After 3 years of testing in a very wide range of conditions I must give this product 5 stars.

I have worn this jacket backpacking, hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, around town, etc. I has kept me warm and try in rain, snow, gale force winds above treeline, etc. I have used it between -17 deg F and up into the 40's F at all activity levels.

Great fit. I am 6'0" and 160lbs athletic. Hood works well, as do the long sleeves with thumb loops (think gauntlet style gloves).

Cons: not as packable as down (but worth it).

Fabric: Nylon/ Polyester
Fill: Primaloft
Price Paid: $160
