Platypus Platy Bottle

rated 5 of 5 stars An essential piece of my gear and I never leave home for the backcountry without it. This simple water container has good capacity, is compact, and has proven to be reliable. It is also compatible with other gear like my Sawyer Squeeze water filter. Why write a review about a water bottle? Well, for me, these Platypus 2 liter water bottles are some essential pieces of my gear that I never leave home for the backcountry without. I like to stay hydrated. These container come in various sizes from… Full review

GSI Outdoors Microlite 720 Flip

rated 5 of 5 stars Keeps coffee warm all day. As a coffee drinker, have been looking for a relatively lightweight, stainless steel vacuum bottle in the 500ml to 1l size. Most are HEAVY, being > 16 oz. Finally found the GSI Microlite with 500 ml (17 liquid oz) @ 233g (8 oz weight) or 720 ml (24 liquid oz) @ 318 g (11 oz weight). The sipping top seal is excellent, lockable, and top comes apart for cleaning. Opening is large enough to put in spoon and easily clean. For 720 ml, I make coffee up each morning with two… Full review

Hydrapak Seeker 3L

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Small to store, lightweight, fits the Katadyn BeFree. Perfect size for me at camp. Taken this on several weekend trips, and it has yet to disappoint. Simple, durable, and effective. Full review

Vargo Stainless Steel Para-Bottle

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Wide mouth stainless steel bottle, uninsulated, 1.0L (34 oz). Good solution for carrying boiling-hot liquids in summer time (when and if you don't need them to stay hot). Wide mouth also makes carrying the food possible. With my 450-ml titanium mugs by Snow Peak and Toaks Background I received this bottle as a prize for my shared content at Trailspace as a Top 10 Reviewer for 2017.  To see the usefulness of this particular design, let's see, what can also be used for carrying the liquids in your… Full review

Primus TrailBottle S/S 1.0L

rated 5 of 5 stars The Primus TrailBottle Stainless Steel 1.0L offers users a convenient, durable, and enduring personal hydration option over plastic "throwaways" that clog our landfills. The new Primus Trailbottle stainless steel line offers a 0.6L, a 1.0L, a vacuum 0.5L, and a vacuum 0.8L. For purposes of this review, I’m putting the 1.0L S/S Trailbottle through its paces.  The Primus Trailbottle 1.0L comes in four (4) color options: black, red, light green, and powder blue. Being on the trail or kayak in… Full review

Hydrapak Stash 750 ml

rated 5 of 5 stars Low volume collapsible bottle from HydraPak. I bought this little bottle as an emergency in case my hydration bladder failed, but soon became a standard when going lightweight, like when you leave your backpack behind to reach for the peak or when needing a quick refill from a stream. This is the 750ml. version, smoke color, but it also comes in 1L capacity in blue, orange, lime, and green color as well. In my opinion the 1L is overkill and I would opt for the hydration bladder solution instead. Full review

Yeti Rambler Bottle 36oz

rated 4.5 of 5 stars Heavy but highly functional storage for hot and cold liquids. Durability is a big plus. Does a great job keeping the hot stuff hot and the cold stuff cold. Pricy, but in my view worth it. INTRODUCTION The Yeti Rambler 36 oz bottle is a heavy and heavy-duty insulated steel bottle for toting drinking water, coffee, and other hot and cold liquids. This review tries to assess both the bottle itself and its utility for hiking and other outdoor activities. WEIGHT AND PRICE Let's start with the negative… Full review

Klean Kanteen Insulated Classic 20oz

rated 5 of 5 stars The Klean Kanteen insulated water bottle keeps liquids cold for days or hot for hours. Super strong stainless steel inside and out, it can take a beating and is easy to clean. I have had the Klean Kanteen insulated classic  20-ounce water bottle for six months now and I continue to be amazed at how well the bottle works. Because it looks like an ordinary water bottle it's easy to forget that it isn't. I first noticed how well the insulated bottle works when I started leaving it in my truck for… Full review

CamelBak Chute 1.2L

rated 5 of 5 stars This water bottle is an amazing day hike and everyday bottle. It definitely keeps your drink cold or warm for a long time! It is cheaper than a Hydro Flask, but performs just as well. I got this water bottle on Amazon for a really good deal, and am very impressed by its quality! I've had it for just about two years, and everything is still in working order! I would first like to mention its insulating properties. If you fill the thing with ice and top it off with water, it will stay cold for three… Full review
