Irene, first and foremost I want to take the opportunity to welcome to Trailspace.
I have gone in and activated the link above so members can just click on it and go to the site.
Out of curiosity is there a specific model that you had your eye on?

Rick - pretty sure given this is a first post that she may work for the company in some manner. Hope I am wrong.

Flashlights are one technology that has improved dramatically. I love LED headlamps and use one everyday in the house and outside to get wood, etc. I have not seen these but have some similar ones with lithium batteries. They are flamethrowers with tons of light, but tend to go thru batteries and are too bright for most tasks. My current Black Diamond headlamp has a red light option which is easy on the eyes and allows enough light to see.

that is one heck of a light, with one heck of a price tag! do you really want to pay 200 for a flashlight? what will you be using it for? maybe we can recommend some less expensive options if we know what it will be used for...
