Deuter Dry Shield Named Most Waterproof Pack

The Dry Shield 30, Deuter’s innovative waterproof pack, has been awarded Outside magazine’s “Most Waterproof” pack in their 2007 Gear Guide. The pack is featured in the spring/summer 2007 gear guide now on newsstands. Deuter’s Dry Shield 30 offers outdoor enthusiasts a sleek, functional and completely waterproof pack. This is the second time that Deuter’s Dry Shield 30 was chosen by a leading outdoor magazine for their superior product design. In March 2007, Backpacker Magazine recognized the product as their choice for the best wet weather pack.

According to John Herron, marketing manager for Deuter USA, “The Dry Shield 30 represents the latest technology driven design offering outdoor enthusiasts a comfortable, ventilated and protective way to carry his/her adventure essentials. We are honored that the Dry Shield 30 pack has been once again, recognized as one of the best products of 2007.”

The Dry Shield 30 pack uses a 500 denier pack cloth that is rated to 10,000 mm on the standard water column / hydrostatic waterproof test. This pack features high frequency welded and taped seams to ensure waterproof protection. The Dry Shield 30, 1850 cubic inch capacity, utilizes Deuter’s Alpine back ventilation system and features compression straps; ice axe loops, trekking poles loops, interior valuables pocket, and mesh exterior pockets. The pack weighs in at just 2 lbs 8 ounces.
