Got Gear? Write a Review

Did you get the gift of outdoor gear for Christmas or Hanukkah? Did you search our 20,000 gear reviews before selecting a new pack or stove for a lucky loved one? Or maybe you regularly check the reviews before buying new mountaineering boots or snowshoes.

If so, pay it forward and help out your fellow backcountry enthusiasts by submitting your own gear review.

Whether it's your first or 50th review, sharing your gear experiences can help someone else select the right backcountry gear. Whether you want to review an energy bar, climbing rope, or headlamp, contributing to Trailspace's backcountry gear guide improves it for everyone.

You don't need to be an expert to write a gear review. All we ask is that you use the gear well and appropriately (even if that sleeping bag looks awesome in your living room, wait until you've tested it out awhile to review it, please). Then assess and review the gear objectively, honestly, and fairly (that includes being honest about yourself and following the guidelines).

Reviews aren't reserved just for the newest, latest, allegedly greatest gear. You can review that old reliable tent you've been using for decades or your vintage pack. And if you don't see the brand or product on Trailspace yet, submit a review anyway and we'll add it to the site.
