based on actual experience with a mouse that ate its way throught the mesh part of the hip belt pocket on a Gregory Baltoro, the foil clif bar wrapper, and about 30% of the clif bar.  i nearly put the gnawed bar into my mouth the next day before i noticed that a corner had already been eaten. 

Gregory deserves kudos for covering under warranty and sending me a replacement part.  a great backpack from a great company.
