Mountain Hardwear Solitude

Hi all,
Looking at solo tents and am considering the Mountain Hardwear Solitude. I have a bug bivy for summertime, and my wife and I share a Sierra Designs Omega CD for other times, but am looking for something for those trips by myself when the weather just isnt quite up to snuff.

Any experiences and/or thoughts with this unit or units like it?

Thanks in advance.

Bladerunner:
I haven't used a Solitude myself, but I know it is quite popular among solo trail walkers. I wanted to be sure you knew that this tent is currently available at substantial discount at REI outlet.

Good luck,

Re: Mountain Hardwear Solitude

I own the Solitude as well as the Sierra Designs Lightyear. I like the Solitude better. I have been in many rainy situations and have stayed dry. I like the solo tents better than a bivy although I use a bivy sometimes.

Mountain Hardwear makes good quality products and the Solitude is a good one. I am 6'2" and have enough room in this tent. There is not a lot of extra room however. This is just my opinion. Good luck on your search.
