Zamberlan Civetta boots

Is anyone out there familiar with or own a pair of Zamberland Civetta GT RR hiking boots? Just got a new pair a few days ago and they're very difficult & painful to break in. Of course, many new boots are hard to break in, but I have a 4 day backpacking trip in Georgia scheduled in 2 1/2 weeks and am concerned whether they'll break-in by then. Any encouragement out there or should I exchange for a lighter, faster to break-in pair?
