We met our So Cal Hiker friends at Boulder Basin camp ground to hike the San Jacinto Wilderness area. The weekend was full of fun and laughs. Visiting friends and making new friends as well. JDSmiling and I hoped to dayhike a 5 mile stretch up and back of the Pacific Crest trail aka as the Fuller Ridge Trail. It would be our first 10 mile day since we began conditioing for the John Muir Trail.

The trip report is with the pictures:

Nice! Keep up the trip reports. We need more like this on Trailspace.

The "hazards" mentioned on the sign at the start of the trail mostly have to do with people setting out on a "day" hike in street shoes, shorts and Tshirt in early spring or late fall, not realizing that there can be snow or thunderstorms, and not taking extra clothing in case of being out longer than expected (it gets cold at night in the mountains above 6 or 7000 ft). And they usually go out without any water ("aren't there drinking fountains, and a McD up there?")
