Wondering if anyone has heard of any reviews comparing the FTX Ultra against either one of the Arc'teryx jackets. Thinking about purchasing one of them for all around use hiking, fishing, camping and general outdoor use and I can't decide which one. I am hearing the Mtn Hardwear may be a little tougher but the Arc'teryx may be constructed a little better, any advice would be appreciated.

I was considering both the FTX and Theta AR, and ended up getting the Theta AR last year. The price tag is hefty (750 CAN with tax) but I am a firm believer in you get what you pay for. I wore it all last year in all seasons (including winter camping with layers) and it worked awesome. Totally waterproof and VERY well made. It's only a year old but it is a very versatile jacket that I wear everywere.
Hope that helps a bit.
