Quest thermolite vs Marmot down sleeping bag

I want to buy sleeping bag for my kids for backpack camping. I don't know the diffrence between quest thermolite mummy bags which are much cheaper as compared to Marmot bags and are lighter. Are they warm enough for camping. I bought bags for -25 F but I am not sure if they will be fine for summer camping.

Ever consider a NEBO Sports Sequoia +20? It has all the features of a great backpacking mummy bag, has Hollofil II insulation, zipper/chest baffles, a nice contoured hood.

ministercreek is right, those -25 bags will be way too warm for summertime use. Any bag in that temperture range was designed for winter camping and high-altitude mountaineering. Your kids won't get cold in them, but they sure won't be comfortable either.

For summer camping and light backpacking with kids, I'd recommend a synthetic-fill bag rated in the 20 F to 30 F range. That will give you enough tempature range to stay comfortable even on those chilly late-spring or early-fall nights.

20-30 degree range is definately recommended.

I just bought my 7 year nephew a Kelty Tundra mummy bag (short) with Hollofil II insulation. It is rated to 15 degrees (Campmor Hot Buy you see!).

They will be burning up.

Thermolite is formally Du Pont's Hollofil II. Same insulation but purchased by Thermolite.
