I'm looking for reviews on gear made by a company calle "Quechua". They make backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, etc. and are sold through Decathalon stores. Does anyone have any info on this?

Quechua appears to be based in France and owned by Decathalon. They have a web site at http://www.quechua.com/

OutdoorsMAGIC has a couple brief reviews of other Quechua gear, but not much information about their tents: http://www.outdoorsmagic.com/review/brandpage/mps/ubn/676

I don't know of any reviews of Quechua gear; but for French backpackers,a Quechua pack is standard issue, much like MacPac for Auzzies/Kiwis & MEC with Canadians. In other words, they make quality gear.

I'm sure you can find less expensive items that are built better. Give me an idea what you are looking for and I can point you in the right direction I think.

Hey AW, Just out of curiosity… have you actually seen/used/touched any Quechua gear in person? I’ve never heard of them before, not that I am any kind of gear guru either but I doubt they make subpar equipment and stay in business for very long.

hello...I'm actually trying to find an outlet in the US that sells quechua products. We lived in France for a time, and picked up 2 backpacks and 2 sleeping bags and they are great! We have 2 kids and its very easy for them to carry their own stuff the way they are designed. Any suggestions?
We need to get 2 more.

Decathlon has a few stores in the US -- all in Massachusetts. They also have a web site at http://www.decathlon-usa.com/ with some Quechua products for sale.
