DIY Pulk from a Burley Trailer

I've been playing with the idea of turning my Burley D'Lite bicycle trailer into a ski pulk for a few years so I can pull my kids while XC skiing. I've used the Chariot ski trailers and they are *awesome*. But it seems like alot of my friends have Burley bicycle trailers (that were made before the new ones that have a ski kit option), and I wondered if it'd be possible to turn the Burley into a ski pulk for a minimal amount of money.

Well, the project turned out to be much harder than I thought, but I finally have a few designs that I think will work. I just need some snow to test them out : )

Anyways, I posted my ideas with some photos here: http://skipulks.blogspot.com/

I'd appreciate any feedback from anyone who's ever made their own pulk (or thought of making their own).

Thanks!

It's a rather clever idea. You can take a look here for some harness ideas. http://www.skipulk.com/

Yep, I've pored through Ed's Pulk PDF on many occasions. It's a great reference and has some terrific designs. His info was definitely a contributor to my thinking in this whole process, and my DIY sled-based pulk is based on one of his designs. Good stuff.
