Two of the three boys who tried to swim across the Colorado River last thursday are still missing. One boy was found the next day about a mile downstream, but it was only his lifeless body. Its feared the other two are drowned also. Its been 4 days since they entered the water with no sign of them anywhere.

Water temps in the Colorado are around 40 degrees yearround. Hypothermia most likely set in quickly, plus the swiftness of the water would have made it almost impossible to swim.

Its too bad too, no one should have to await the news for the lives of their children while on a typical three day hike in the Grand Canyon. Our prayers, wishes and hopes go out to the families of the missing boys. They were from a church group in Tempe Arizona. :(
