I found the following account indicative of the doughty character of the Glaswegian (person from Glasgow). Here the man falls one thousand feet down a mountain, bouncing off the occasional outcropping; he was found a short while later, consulting his map at the bottom of the pitch. He was doubtless wondering why the rest of the party hadn't followed his route.

The Celts are a tough bunch a bastards :)

Waging constant resistance against invasion and occupation for nearly two thousands years, all the while wringing a meager life out of the earth and water, tends to make 'em a wee bit hard to kill! 

Jesting aside, that fella is one tough lucky beast.
