I've done a little looking the last day or so and have only come up with a few unknown to me companies that sell a 550 ml ti pot. Any good source you have found or used? Tibetan does not list one I see. My old Olicamp ti pot may be fine, w/o the lid it weighs 2.5 oz. so may be no need to go ti with a 550 ml mug if I add a aluminum foil lid to my Olicamp.

Not critical, just something I had my mind set on. May have to adjust. The SP mug had some bad comments about lingering odor, maybe from an improperly washed mug.

Thank you Callahan. SS is too heavy. The 550 ml is mentioned so much, the 500 ml would hold more than enough water for coffee or single serve freeze dried meal, if I ever get close so superlight. Never mind, I'll pursue a 500 ml mug or use my ole Olicamp. I just need to bring meals that only require 16 oz. of less of water if going this small

Out of curiosity, do you have a link to those negative comments?
I am fairly certain it is impossible for issues of lingering odor or taste to have anything to do with the mug itself, as titanium is non porous and shouldn't have any coating on it. Improper cleaning would do it though.

I would agree, I have never known Ti to pick up odors, Snow Peak or otherwise.

Did you leave the mug out on the ground overnight and that darn scary raccoon did something in it ?

Hay guys,
The Snow Peak ti 600 mug had two bad reviews on REI. Sounds more like not taking care of gear. Second one down here and down a few more for one reviewer commenting on the metallic taste. :) Beer in a bottle or can? I'm thinking of getting a few things together for a UL kit, working on shelter options now. No rush, all takes stove collecting money away from me. Raccoons don't hang around me, none seen last time to the coast either.

:) I applied for a REI Visa, not sure what gear to get with the $100 gift card when it shows up. New stove, pot, winter pack?

The Snow Peak 600Ti mug is too small to fit my Nalgene bottle, bummer.
