Home-dried, canned beans...etc
I'm a omni-eater, but I like to dry my own beans. Huh?
Actually I use canned beans (red kidneys, white kidneys, chick peas, Romano...), rinse content under tap water, and dry 'em in an oven (baking pan + lowest setting + door ajar; same instrustion for tuna canned in water) or dehydrator.
Dried bean + minute rice/couscous/Ramen noodle + miso paste or other soup base + boiling hot water + shake and wait = no cook meal
I also dry my own carrot shavings (use potato peeler), green onion and other herbs... to add to flavor...
...and I HATE(!!) cooking while I'm backpacking. Enjoy :-)
