I'm looking for a pair of men's size 10-11 rock climbing shoes. Used is fine as long as they're useable. I'm looking to spend $30 or less - I've seen tons of them on ebay and craigslist, but none in my size. Brand does not matter.

People usually buy climbing shoes 1-2 sizes smaller than their shoe size just to get the extra aggression. I have a pair of 5.10 Newtons. I wear a size 11, but the climbing shoes are a 10. What size do you actually need?

when i climb at the local rock gym, they give me 10.5's. I'm assuming 10's would be fine if the leather is slightly stretched by your size 11 feet.

The TOO TIGHT theory is good if you are truly a climber who that nuanced touch is important. Frankly, I would rather sacrifice a bit of toe dexterity and save the pain. Had a pair six months. Hurt so bad. Took em back to REI and got bigger ones. Now I am having fun again. I see people in the gym who may as well be Opus Dea they put themselves through such pain in the shoes.
