Sounds like a good deal.  What was the retail price?

Original retail was either $229 or $189, as I recall.

I live near an L.L. Bean outlet store.  I have to go to the store regularly to catch a real good bargain, as they have sleeping-bags arrive for stock, very infrequently ... and, when they do arrive, they don't last long.

The "trick" is to look for the off-season items.   Just bought a great down jacket for a girlfriend.   Original price was $229 ... and I got it for $29 !

I'd say about half my entire gear inventory came from there.  I've been going for years, and have saved a ton of money.   I even bought a pair of Limmer boots from L.L. Bean.
